This story happened long ago. John, a very skinny and simple boy, was playing along with his friends mike, a kid about the same height of john,who always used to wear red shirts,Lizzie, a vey bad tempered girl who was a friend of the group, carey, a very sweet little girl, and robert,a kid who couldnt stop eating. They had been playing all day, and it was getting dark.Finally, the night came, and they decided to return to their homes, for which they had to take the train. They settled and started walking to the station.It was a very dark night, and there was a lot of mist. when they arrived, the station was completely empty. This scared robert a bit, but he decided not to tell anyone. john turned around, and out of the mist he saw a tall man, wearing a black hat and overcoat. the man was smoking a cigar, and when he reached the kids,he asked, looking down:"does any of you know what day it is?".’24 th of october, sir"."oh…thanks". the man kept walking but suddenly stopped and turned. then he said "be carefull". after that he turned away and continued walking. "why would he want us to be carefull?" said lizzie. when she finished asking, the train was heard in the distance, and seconds later it appeared.The train slowly stopped , and let the doors opened.The kids entered, and saw there was only one person in it, a homeless man, sitting in a a corner, holding a small radio. they sat down. It was nearly midnight. The radio was on, and it was heard with lots of interferation. there was a light which was going on and off every second. The train started moving again, slowly at first, untill it got it’s speed. The kids started talking in a low voice, so they didn’t wake the homeless man, when they suddenly heard a noise. It was as if some tools had fallen there, in the enginers room. Robert was really nervous, and took out a sandwich which he had in his pocket, and started eating really fast. "do you have to it now robert?" said mike ‘i’m nervous okay?". Mike was about to respond when they heard a loud interferation in the radio, and then the voice of a man, talking: "Today is the anniversary of the day the train engineer serial killer, killed their first victims, in 1954. He continued his murders on the same day, everytime in train number 28. It was only recently that he had finally been caught, but as we all know, he managed to escape a week ago. Authorities are still looking everywhere for him and…" "wait, what did he say?"interrupted mike. "he escaped last week…"replied carey being interrupted by mike."I know that, but what did he said was the train number?". "28 i think" replied little carey. "what number are we on?". They all rushed to the window and Mike got his head out of the train, to see if he could see the number of the train. he got in again, and he said " that’s 28…""oh no, oh no! where all gonna die! oh no!…" robert started screaming, only to be silenced by the voice of john "calm down, that doesn’t mean anything. Besides, he wouldnt be dumb enough to come to the same train the he used to kill his victims on right?" "but what if he did!?" replied robert. They all stood there, silently. Footsteps were heard in the other wagon, and the shadow of a man appeared, coming towards them. at last, the figure came to light,and revealed a very inocent loking man. "relax, it’s just me, i’m not the killer" said the man. He was carrying a box of tools." so that would explain the noise" said carey. "you see robert, theres nothing to be worried about" said john." Absolutely not,now if you don’t mind.." he was silenced by the hit of an axe stuck in his back, making him fall down, to reveal the face of a very tall man, which was covered with what seem as coal holding his eyes wide open. The kids all started screaming, and running ,for the man started chasing them. He got hold of mike and the kids kept running, as they saw mike’s body being torned apart with the axe. as he finished the killer continued to look for them, who were hiding now. they were all in separate places. the man started walking slowly through the dark turning his head looking for each of the kids. John was seeing this from the top of a shelf, which was there so the passengers could put their luggage. Suddenly the man stoped. Robert was shaking under a seat, in front of where the man stopped. he could see half of his leg and was really nervous.The man started to smell the air, as if he could find the children by their smell.minutes later, he started walking again." where are you?"he asked out loud, in a very slow voice. a noise was heard: lizzie was in a very uncomfortable position in the back of the train and tried to move, hitting the wall with her elbow. The killer turned to the place,and slowly started walking. he then stopped,and he looked at the mirror in the side of the train, from which he could see lizzie, " i got you now!"he shouted and threw his axe to where lizzie was, cutting her shoulder which started to bleed furious
It’s sad but it kept me on edge until the very end! I really enjoyed it!
